Weekly & Monthly Updates on Giving
A Steward is a person who has been entrusted with another’s resources, and who seeks to manage those resources according to the owner’s vision and values. The gospel tells us that everything we have is a gift from God, and that those gifts are to be used for his glory and to further his kingdom.
As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace. 1 Peter 4:10.
At Cedar Springs, we consider Stewardship a responsibility, an act of worship, and evidence of our faith. We exercise Stewardship individually through giving of time and money and we exercise Stewardship corporately through the wise and generous use of the gifts given by the congregation.
Click How Donations are Used to view a pie chart showing how we use your financial contributions. Note that 33% of Cedar Springs giving goes to Missions. But this does not tell the whole Stewardship story! Some of our larger and more active ministries, such as Women’s Ministry, operate on the smallest budgets. This is due to the large number of volunteers in those ministries. Volunteering to serve is a huge part of Stewardship at Cedar Springs.
All gifts, large or small, are appreciated and are used for the glory of God. The most important part of individual Stewardship, however, is its implication about your personal relationship with God.

All donations are deductible if made payable to Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church. As required by IRS law, these donations in order to be deductible are under the control of the ministry’s board.
